As Augment’s first dedicated editorial hire, you will work directly with our CMO to build a high-impact content engine. The mandate for this role is to write original stories that support our mission of making the private markets liquid, accessible, and transparent by making Augment a leader in news and education on these markets. This is both a newsroom-caliber writing role and a content strategy role. You will own the blog and broader editorial calendar, translate complex private markets topics into clear narratives, and set the voice that investors and operators trust. We are looking for a newsroom-caliber writer and editor who can break stories, interview sources, and ship polished long-form pieces, with strong instincts for distribution, SEO, and measurable outcomes.

🧑💻 You will:
- Own the editorial roadmap end to end, from story ideation and reporting to drafting, editing, and publishing.
- Write flagship features, explainers, interviews, and data-driven pieces for Augment’s blog and newsletter, then repurpose for social, email, and partner channels.
- Build and maintain an editorial calendar tied to company goals, launches, and market moments.
- Conduct structured interviews with investors, founders, operators, and internal subject matter experts to source original insights.
- Establish style, sourcing, and compliant standards aligned with people-first, trustworthy content.
- Define and track goals and KPIs that show the business value of your writing, including engagement, traffic, subscriber growth and assisted conversions
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Growth, Product, Capital Markets, and Design to ensure content supports pipeline and brand.
🧑🔬 You’d fit in well if you:
- Have newsroom or financial writing experience and a portfolio of crisp, reported features or explainers.
- Are comfortable in fast-moving, early-stage environments and can switch between reporter, editor, and strategist.
- Have strong interviewing, outlining, and editing habits, and a bias for clarity and accuracy.
- Understand how to package and distribute stories across blog, newsletter, and social to build an audience.
- Care about details, and you make complex financial topics approachable without losing rigor.

- 4+ years in journalism or editorial content roles, ideally at a major publication or high-velocity digital outlet.
